Welcome to my portfolio!

Here I showcase some of the software and engineering projects I've worked on in the past, as well as some that are currently in progress. If anything interests you, feel free to reach out, I'd love to talk more about what you see here.

Featured Projects:

FRC Team 509 2022 Robot

Project Overview

Built over the course of roughly 10 weeks, this robot was designed to play the 2022 FIRST Robotics Competition Challenge Rapid React, a game where robots aim to shoot oversized tennis balls into a central hoop structure, and end matches by climbing up a series of monkey bars. This year was a culmination of skills I'd learned in previous seasons, combined with the additional challenge of experience drain as a result of COVID-19 and the graduation of experienced upperclassmen. The true product of this year was not the robot, but a systematic training and rebuilding of our high school's robotics team. Click Here to Learn More.

Trombone Controller

Project Overview

Best Beginner Hardware Hack

HackUMass X

It's like the Wiimote of rhythm games. Designed for the critically acclaimed game Trombone Champ, this controller allows you to really feel immersed in the gameplay experience. Click Here to Learn More.

Other Projects:

Omnidirectional "Swerve" Drive

Developed from the summer of 2021 and through the 2021 fall semester, I worked on programming an omnidirectional test chassis FRC Team 509 built. Working in Java, I wrote a library to make controlling the complex movement simpler to implement. Click Here to Learn More.

FRC Team 509 - 2020 Robot

This robot was FRC Team 509's entry for the 2020 FIRST Robotics Competition challenge: Infinite Recharge. The goal of IR is to score as many yellow dodgeballs into various goals as possible, before climbing a bar at the end of the match.

In addition to the challenge, this was my first year as our team's Chief Technical Officer, so I had the responsibilities of managing the development of the software and electrical subsystems on the robot, and the training of new members. Click Here to Learn More.

FRC Team 509 - 2019 Robot

Built in 6 weeks, this robot was designed to play the 2019 FIRST Robotics Competition challenge: Destination: Deep Space. DDS involves placing disks and playground kickballs at various locations and around the field, before climbing an oversized stair at the end of a match.

This season was my freshman year on the team, so I primarily involved myself by learning as much as I could from team mentors and other experienced members. Click Here to Learn More.
